How Helm7 compares.
Each comparison uses the other company's published list prices, marks the rows where they are better, and ends with the cases where you should not switch. Prices were read on 22 September 2026.
- Helm7 andVercel and SupabaseVercel and Supabase are the default way to ship a Next.js app with a database behind it, and the pairing works. This page is about what it costs to keep two vendors in the loop, and what you give up by collapsing them into one.Read the comparison3 rows where they win
- Helm7 andRailwayRailway is the closest thing to Helm7 that already exists. Both run your services and your database in one place, both bill for usage rather than seats, and both are pleasant to drive from a terminal.Read the comparison3 rows where they win
- Helm7 andRenderRender is a solid, unflashy platform: web services, workers, cron jobs, managed Postgres and Redis, with a dashboard that does not get in the way.Read the comparison2 rows where they win
How these comparisons are made
Every price comes from the other company's own pricing page, read on the date at the top of this page. Where we do arithmetic, it is shown, so you can swap in your own team size and usage and get your own answer. We do not compare on benchmarks we have not run.
A row is marked when the other product is genuinely better at something. Vercel's edge network and preview workflow, Supabase's ecosystem of client libraries and Railway's polish are real advantages, and a comparison that hid them would not survive a reader who already uses the product.
Each page ends with when you should not move. Moving platforms takes time and carries risk, so if the platform you have is working and the bill is fine, staying is a fair answer.
